The
National
Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, founded in
1927 is a non-profitable organization whose primary objective
is to improve the quality life for more than 500.000 coffee
grower families in the country.
In Colombia, the coffee growers democratically elect their local,
regional and national representatives that run the Federation,
entity which invest its funds obtained by the commercialization
of the Colombian Coffee in the stabilization of the internal
coffee price, in the research for the improvement of cultures
productivity and in social and infrastructure improvement in
the
coffee-growing regions.
At the same time a portion of these funds are destined for global
marketing and promotional programs, as the "Juan
Valdez®", advertising campaign,
the "100%
Colombian Coffee program" and the positioning of
the brand.
